Olson, Rousey, Takata, McCormick and Volmar Win Trials
For thirty-five-year-old Brian Olson (Boulder, Colo. / USA Judo National Training Site at the Olympic Training Center / 90kg), his win at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Judo on Friday was more than just qualifying for his fourth Olympic Team.

Men's Heavyweight Preview
Adler Volmar competed on the 1996 Olympic Games on the team for Haiti and now the top-ranked player in the United States will attempt to qualify for his first U.S. Olympic Team, but injuries may stand in his way. Updated Qualifiers List for 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials
On May 16, athletes who had qualified for the Trials in multiple divisions declared which weight they would fight in Las Vegas while others decided whether they would accept or decline their invitations.
On the men’s side, Josh O’Neil was the only player to qualify in two divisions – 60kg and 66kg. A former 66kg player, O’Neil moved down to 60kg in 2007 where he qualified for the Trials with a fifth-place finish at the German Open.
