Delpopolo sends blog from Liverpool, Great Britain

September 30, 2011 – Hello from the Jury's Inn at the Liverpool World Cup.  I'm here with my 2 teammates Nick Kossor and Brad Bolen, we didn't all travel together but everyone made it to the hotel with no major issues.  Kossors' bags decided they wanted to stay in the States for a while longer but have since changed their mind and re-joined him on the trip.

The Liverpool organizers have been great!  There was a driver waiting for each of us at the airport with a sign that had our last name, I've always wanted that to happen so I thought it was pretty cool.  We ate a light breakfast and went to the competition hall where they are letting the Judoka use the mats for weight cutting/acclimation.  Kossor brought a suit with him and is going to be going tot he draw to make sure our names and World Rankings are entered in correctly.  Brad flew over with the Canadian team but other than that we haven't seen many other countries.  Its posted that there are 38 Countries and 195 particiipants entered in the evenet but I think most of them arrive today.

We're all just waiting for the draws which are at 8pm Liverpool time.  Goodbye for now.
