USA Judo National High School Team Trains in Japan - NEW PHOTOS!

 

USA Judo High School Girls Team with Team Captain Miyamoto and the coaching staff of the Teikyo University Women's Team, the current defending
All-Japan University Team Champions.  The Teikyo Team is most notably famous for producing
Olympic Champion Ryoko Tamura (Tani). Currently, Miyamoto is the top-ranked female athlete in Japan at 57kg.

The USA Judo National High School Team, following a training session at the Taisei High School in Japan where the boys' team will be training for two weeks.  Taisei is the second-ranked high school judo program in Japan this year.  The girls' team is training at Teikyo High School in Tokyo.  The boys' team competed against the Aichi All-Stars June 24.  The boys' team is pictured above with coaches Bert Becerra and Gary Norton.
