Rocky Mountain State Games Coming to Colorado Springs August 5
All Colorado judo players are reminded that the Rocky Mountain State Games will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Cadet Center Gym at the U.S. Air Force Academy August 5.
Athletes who finish in the top three in their respective division will be qualified for the 2007 State Games of America in Colorado Springs.

Competition will be held in Junior, Senior and Masters divisions as follows:
- Junior 5 & 6
- Junior 7 & 8
- Junior 9 & 10
- Junior 11 & 12
- Junior 13 & 14
- Junior 15 &16
- Seniors (17 and over)
- Novice Junior (White and Yellow only)
- Novice Senior (Below brown belt)
- Masters (30-39)
- Masters (40-49)
- Masters (50+)
Junior and Masters divisions will be contested in light, middle and heavy categories. Senior divisions will include 44kg, 48kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 70kg, 78kg and +78kg for women as well as 55kg, 60kg, 66kg, 73kg, 81kg, 90kg, 100kg and +100kg for men.
Elimination systems: More than 5 competitors: modified double elimination; 3-5 competitors: round-robin; 2 competitors: best 2 out of 3 matches.
Weigh-Ins: Participating athletes have three location options for weigh-ins:
Thursday August 3
OTC Judo Club: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Northglenn: 7 – 8 p.m.
Boulder Judo Training Center: 4:30 – 7 p.m.
Saturday August 5
Air Force Academy: 7 – 8 a.m.
Opening Ceremonies: Opening Ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. August 4 at the World Arena. |
