USA Judo to Reward Club Coaches with a Seminar at the Olympic Training Center

Participants from the 2005 Coaches' Conference at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

USA Judo is pleased to announce a program that will reward club coaches who sign up 100 athletes or more to be members of USA Judo in 2007 by providing one coach per club that has 100 athletes registered with USA Judo by Nov. 1 with a trip to Colorado Springs to attend a USA Judo National Seminar conducted by several members of the USA Judo National Training Site Coaching and U.S. Olympic Committee High Performance Division Staffs.

Each winning club will receive one round-trip ticket on United Airlines to Colorado Springs for the Seminar.

Once in Colorado Springs, coaches will stay on-site at the U.S. Olympic Training Center where the seminar will be held.

At the end of the seminar each participant will receive an Olympic Training Center Certificate of participation as well as picture with the coaches and the group of attendees.

“This is our way of say ‘thanks’ to the club coaches who work tirelessly to help USA Judo grow the numbers of athletes in the United States,” said Jose H. Rodriguez, USA Judo CEO.  “Without the support of grassroots clubs’ coaches, USA Judo can not achieve its goals. We have to help the clubs get ahead and we think this will be a win - win program for both USA Judo and our clubs.”

Coaches who need additional membership forms or promotional materials for their clubs may request these from Monica Wright-Tafoya, Director of Membership Services, at Monica.Wright-Tafoya@usajudo.us.

Do not miss out on this great opportunity to join Eddie Liddie, three-time Olympic Coach, and our members of the National Coaching Staff for an exciting weekend at the U.S. Olympic Training Center!
