Kano
Cup World Grand Prix Day 1 Results

Colo.)
– Katie Mocco (Glenville, N.Y. / NYAC / USA Judo National Training Site
at the Jason Morris Judo Center / 78kg) lost Team USA's only match during
the first day of competition on Friday at the Kano Cup World Grand Prix in
Tokyo, Japan.
Mocco was thrown for ippon (instant win) with a left
uchimata (inner thigh throw) early in her match against Tomomi Okamura (JPN).
Okamura lost her next match, eliminating Mocco.

Competition continues on Saturday with the women’s 63kg and
