Kano Cup World Grand Prix Day 3 Results

Team USA's only two competitors on the third day of competition at the Kano Cup World Grand Prix each lost his and her first match on Sunday in Tokyo .  

Aaron Handy (Wakefield, Mass. / USA Judo National Team FORCE / 100kg) was thrown by 2004 Olympic silver medalist Sung-Ho Jang (KOR) with a harai goshi (hip throw) for ippon (instant win).  

Anna Palmer (Colorado Springs, Colo. / USA Judo National Training Site at the Olympic Training Center ) was outscored in the 52kg division by 2005 Asian Junior Champion Eri Kakita (JPN) by a yuko (quarter-point) and two waza-aris (half-point each).
