Moyerman Named Outstanding Competitor at the Maccabi Games

Adam Moyerman (Philadelphia, Pa. / Liberty Bell Judo) won the gold medal in the 73kg division and was named the Outstanding Competitor of the tournament at the 11th Pan American Maccabi Games on Dec. 28 in Bueno Aires, Argentina.

Moyerman, who earned his title in the 73kg division, also competed in the team tournament, helping Team USA to a bronze medal in the five-man competition.

After winning the first round against Chile’s B Team, the United States lost to Argentina’s A Team in pool play.  Team USA then lost their next match in the semifinals to Chile’s A Team.

Jay Fisher (Atlanta, Ga. / Waka Mu Sha Judo) won two gold medals, earning titles in the +100kg and masters divisions.

Zachary Kransdorf (Trevose, Pa. / Liberty Bell Judo) and Kevin Toll (Havertown, Pa. / Liberty Bell Judo) both won bronze medals in the 73kg and 81kg divisions, respectively.
