Favorite receives her third place award.

Shea Favorite Places Third in Northeast Netherlands Tournament

Pan Am Infantile Team member Shea Favorite (Clermont, Fla. / Central Florida Judo) finished third in the U15

44kg division of the 9th annual Northeast Netherlands Tournament in Slagharen on Jan. 20.  

Favorite went 3-3 to win her medal as the only foreign athlete in the 650-person tournament.

Prior to the Northeast Tournament, Favorite competed the previous week in the Dutch Open Espoir, one of the Netherlands’ qualifying tournaments for the European Junior Championships where more than 1200 of Europe’s top juniors competed.  Following the Dutch Open, Favorite spent a week training with a group of elite junior athletes at Theo Meijr’s sports center leading up to the Northeast Tournament.
