Women's 44kg
Taylor Ibera won the division. Veronica Prado was controlling the match and went to throw Ibera with an uchimata in the last minute, but Ibera ran her back for ippon.
Ibera fought Katelyn Bouyssou in the next match. Bouyssou went in for drop seoi nage and got countered.
Prado lost to Bouyssou to finish third.
Women's 57kg
Valerie Gotay threw Carrie Chandler hard with an o soto to win gold by ippon. Janine Nakao and Hana Carmichael are both in bronze medal matches.
Women's 63kg
Marti Malloy lost with a sankaku for a pin by Jennie Bonsant in the gold medal match. Kayla Harrison defeated Emilie Claude-Leroux for bronze.
Women's 78kg
Nina Cutro-Kelly beat Amy Cotton in the semifinals... scored tied at a yuko each and Nina threw Amy for a yuko five seconds into Golden Score.
Cutro-Kelly lost to Marylise Levesque in the final by a yuko.
On the other side of the draw, Katie Mocco lost to Marylise Levesque and will fight for bronze.
Molly O'Rourke lost to Amy Cotton in early rounds and is presently in the repechage.
Rhonda Morrell-Pruitt placed third.
Women's +78kg
Heidi Moore and Lorey Edwards are both fighting bronze.
Men's 60kg
Frazer Will vs. Sergio Pessoa Jr. in the final.
Men's 66kg
Kenny Hashimoto was down by a yuko, but countered Taylor Takata's harai goshi in the final to win by ippon.
Takata beat Gagnon (CAN) in the first round, then Japan, then Canada, then Jeremy Liggett to get into the final.
Hashimoto beat Sasha Mehmedovic in the last minute of the semifinals... was down by points, then threw Sasha for ippon.
Justin Flores lost to Sasha earlier in the day and will fight Liggett for bronze.
Sasha will fight Michal Popiel for bronze.
Men's 73kg
Radu Brestyan beat Nick Delpopolo in the final by a waza-ari.
Delpopolo beat Bobby Lee by a waza-ari earlier in the day.
Jefferson beat Lee in the repechage in Golden Score and will fight Billy Shanahan for third.
Michael Eldred will fight a Polish player for third.
Men's 81kg
Travis Stevens beat Harry St. Leger in the final.
Harry beat a player from the Ukraine in the first round and then Kalem Kachur (CAN) in Golden Score. Harry threw a Japanese player in the semifinals.
On the other side of the draw, Travis beat Justin Imagawa in the first round, Adam Beck in the second round and Tyler Boras (CAN) in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals Travis beat Aaron Cohen in Golden Score off an uchimata for ippon.
Cohen.
Cohen will fight Kachur for bronze.
Boras will fight JPN for bronze.
Men's 90kg
Rick Hawn lost to Alexandre Emond in the final.
Garry St. Leger will fight a Canadian for bronze. St. Leger lost to Poland in the main draw and beat Brian Olson with an o soto for ippon in the repechage. Olson also lost to the Polish player. |
