With close to 100 participants, the clinic held by the USA Judo National Training Site at San Jose State University from Aug. 3-5 was a huge success!

The clinic was led by Neil Adams, a former World Champion and Olympic medalist.  The newly named USA Judo National Training Site brought in the British native for this three-day event.

With two judo sessions a day and a third coaches’ corner session, it was a great chance to get to know and learn from a legend in the world judo community.

Also in attendance were some of the San Jose State’s finest, including San Jose State Head Coach and 1964 Olympic Team Coach Yosh Uchida; former World champion Mike Swain; 1980 Olympian and Pan American Champion Keith Nakasone; and two-time Pan American Champion Chuck Jefferson as well as the National Collegiate Champion SJSU Judo team.

With participants from local judo clubs, coaches, junior judoka and elite players, everyone took home valuable lessons and were taught some of the newest innovative judo techniques used in the world today.
