Team USA Ends Pan Am Circuit with a Bronze from Kenny Hashimoto

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Kenny Hashimoto (Thornton, Colo. / Northglenn Judo / 66kg) won a bronze medal on Saturday at the Simon Bolivar Cup in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela.

In the repechage, Hashimoto won two matches by ippon (instant win), including his bronze medal win over Antonio Rivas (VEN).

The division was won by Ricardo Valderrama (VEN) who beat Felipe Novoa (CHI) in the final.  Ortiz won the second bronze medal.

After winning the FEDOJUDO International Cup in the Dominican Republic last week, Anna Palmer (Colorado Springs, Colo. / USA Judo National Training Site at the Olympic Training Center) finished seventh in the 52kg division on Saturday.
