New York Open to Be Webcast Live for FREE on March 9

Judo fans around the world will have the opportunity to watch the New York Open, a B-Level tournament for international players, live from the New York Athletic Club on March 9.
This year’s competition will include nearly all of the top men in the U.S. as well as teams from Brazil, Canada and nearly 20 other nations which are scheduled to participate.
Among the seven-person Brazilian team are reigning World Champion Luciano Correa (100kg), 2007 World bronze medalist Joao Schlittler (+100kg) and 2004 Olympic medalist Leandro Guilheiro (73kg).
The Webcast is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. EST. Log on to www.usjudo.org to watch bronze and gold medal finals!
“During the past two years, we’ve had a lot of positive feedback from our Webcasts of the New York Open and are very excited to present this fabulous tournament live for the first time ever,” said USA Judo CEO Jose H. Rodriguez. “As our athletes are preparing for Beijing, we expect to see many great matches between U.S. players and other great countries, including World medalists from Beijing.”
