Register Now for the 2008 USA Judo Youth and Scholastic National Championships!
Don't forget... deadline for early entries to the 2008 Youth and Scholastic National Championships is February 15!
Entry packets are now available for the 2008 USA Judo Youth and Scholastic National Championships at http://www.usjudo.org/documents/2008ScholasticEntryForm.pdf.
More than 500 athletes, ranging in age from 5-years-old to collegiate athletes are expected to compete in this new premier event being held March 29-30 at the University of Wisconsin – Stout in Menomonie, Wis.
With the Junior World and Pan American Infantile Championships both being held this fall, a great deal will be at stake as 10 junior elite points will be on the line for athletes competing in Intermediate, Juvenile and IJF-Junior divisions.
Collegiate athletes also will be competing for the title of Collegiate National Champion. The USA Judo National Training Site at San Jose State University Team will be looking to defend their title and many Senior National medalists from colleges and universities also are expected to compete.
For the second year, novice divisions also will be contested during the Collegiate divisions.
The following divisions will be contested at the event:
- Bantam 1 (Born 2002)
- Bantam 2 (Born 2001)
- Bantam 3 (Born 2000)
- Intermediate 1 (Born 1998-1999)
- Intermediate 2 (Born 1996-1997)
- Juvenile A (Born 1994-1995)
- Juvenile B (Born 1992-1993)
- IJF-Junior (Born 1989 or later)
