2008 Fall Classic, Ladder Tournaments and Junior World Trials to Be Held in Spokane

USA Judo is pleased to announce the 2008 USA Judo Fall Classic National Championships and Junior World Championship Trials will be held Aug. 31 in Spokane, Wash. at Valley HUB Regional Sports Center.

The Fall Classic is a Senior D-Level Point Tournament and one of the top four judo tournaments in the nation. Athletes placing in the top three Senior Categories will earn Senior Elite classification and points, and junior athletes (born in 1989 or later); also will earn Junior Elite classification and points.

The winners of the Junior World Trials will be selected to compete at the Junior World Championships in October.

On Sept. 1, the competition will continue with both senior and masters divisions at the Ladder Tournament. 

“We are pleased to be moving our events around the country as requested by our membership,” said Jose Rodriguez, CEO of USA Judo.  “This year we have tried to balance the sites to be on the East coast, northwest and west. We will continue to seek out communities who realize the business value of our events while keeping the well being of our members in mind.”
