USA Judo Youth Team heads to
Cadet World Championships in Kiev
August 9, 2011 – A U.S. team of top teen judo fighters headed to the Ukraine this week for the Cadet World Championships in Kiev, one of the top tournaments in the world for youth, and fans can watch the action LIVE starting Thursday in a streaming webcast by clicking HERE.
The USA Judo team of 15 young men and nine women will be among nearly 700 youth under 17 years old from more than 50 countries, drawn by the hottest competition, medals and big ranking points. Competition continues through Sunday, Aug 14. For the official tournament website, click HERE.
USA Judo provided partial funding for the athletes, among the most promising youth in the nation for leading the country up the elite podiums in coming years. For a complete roster of the team, click HERE.
Leading the young U.S. athletes is Coach Anthony Mojica, head sensei of Mojica Judo in Baldwin Park in California.
