Personal: Molly was born and raised in the state of Washington where she began practicing judo at the age of 13. In 2002, Molly made a huge commitment and moved to the Bay Area to train at East Bay Institute and to pursue her dream of going to the Olympic Games. In addition to her bronze medal performance at the 2003 Senior National Championships, Molly's striking silver medal performance at the 2003 Rendez Vous Canada tournament catapulted her to the number one spot in the women's 78kg category. In addition to being an avid competitor, Molly also contributes her time to help teach the youth class at EBJI. She is currently pursuing a degree in kinesiology at San Francisco State University .
